Austrain motorcycle maker KTM and German racing team Reiter Engineering are working on an all-new sports car will be competing in the U.S.

Earlier last month, the companies teased a rendering for its project and has now released a little more information on their GT4 race car that will be homologated from SRO and Pirelli World Challenge. The newest render released by the two companies points to the final design of the car and Hans Reiter has said that it will be powered by a 2.0-liter TFSI engine with approximately 320 hp.

Aiming to compete in the Pirelli World Challenge GT-S class, the powerplant will be mated to a sequential six-speed Holinger gearbox with paddle shift and the car itself will be equipped with a racing ABS system while weight will be consistent with current SRO GT4 practices. The car will be based on the existing KTM X-Bow and the companies will be heading for testing next spring.

“When you reflect on what the customer is being offered here in terms of the most modern racing technology, together with a very impressive safety concept, then you can really speak about it being exceptionally good value for money,” said Reiter.”
